Autumn Still Life — Pause & Paint at Tremolo

Come in, grab a coffee and spend a slow autumn morning painting together. We’ll paint from a seasonal still life of pumpkins and squash, with guidance from artist Carolina Rosas. No experience needed. £23 includes all materials, a hot drink and your painting to take home.

Time & Location

25 Oct 2026, 10:30 – 12:00

Tremolo Lounge, 92 High St, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne NE3 1HB, UK

About the event

An artist-led painting session. Slow, unhurried, entirely your own.

Pumpkins and squash this month, piled up on the table. The palette is burnt orange, ochre, deep green and a bit of cream, warm colours that suit the time of year.

You start by building up your background, mixing your own colours and enjoying how two turn into a third on the palette. Then you go in and start painting. I'll guide you through it, so you don't need to know how to draw or to have painted before.

Paint the pumpkins as they are, go abstract, work the texture up, whatever you feel like. It's about the making rather than the result, and about spending some time on something that isn't work or life admin. I'll be moving round the room with tips on mixing and on slowing down while you do it.

Everyone works from the same table and no two paintings ever come out the same.
