About the event
An evening painting session as the nights draw in.
WINTER AFTER DARK
Spend a slow evening painting a winter landscape at Gosforth Civic Theatre.
For this session, we’ll be working with the colours of a winter sunset, painting a simple landscape with bare trees, pines and snow in soft purples, pinks and warm golden tones.
A winter forest will be projected behind us throughout the evening, with soft ambient sound creating a calm backdrop while we paint.
I’ll guide you through the painting step by step, from building the background to adding the final details. You can follow along closely or take the painting in your own direction. This isn’t about everyone leaving with the same picture, and there’s no pressure to get anything “right”.
The session is designed for all levels, including complete beginners. I’ll be there throughout if you need help with colour, technique or what to do next.
Everything you need to paint is ready for you when you arrive, including your canvas, paints, brushes and other materials. Just come as you are. You’re very welcome to come on your own or book with a friend.
The café will be open if you’d like to buy a drink before we begin.
