From the Beyond Trees series.
Pond 2 is a small oil painting built around the surface of the water, with layered reflections, surrounding greenery and light breaking across the pond.
I was less interested in painting every detail exactly and more in what the water was doing to the scene. The reflections soften the edges, break up the shapes and turn parts of the landscape into something almost abstract.
