This painting is of the cascade in Jesmond Dene, close to Jesmond Dene House. It is a place people often stop for wedding photographs, which gives the title a little more meaning for me. The water keeps moving, but the place becomes part of so many important moments, and for a second it can feel like something that might last forever.
