A small view of the Lake District, with the remains of an old stone structure standing quietly at the water’s edge. I was drawn to the contrast between this little weathered ruin and the openness around it: the blue water, green hills and enormous changing sky. The loose brushwork keeps the scene fresh while holding onto the character of the place.
